Nicole Clements’ love of art began in Canada where she grew up. She loved to paint the prairies of Manitoba and the lakes of Northern Ontario.
She studied drawing and design at the university of Manitoba before moving to Calgary where she graduated from the Alberta College of Art and Design with a Bachelor of Fine Art in Ceramics.
Since moving to Falkirk in 2002 she has worked in the Park Gallery, become a founding member of the Falkirk Creative Collective and started an Art Club at a local school. For the past year she has called The Falkirk Sewing Studio her home.
Nicole works in a variety of media including watercolour, graphite, acrylic and collage. Her current body of work centres on family and memories and includes vintage ceramics and portraits.
Her work can be found in private collections in Canada, the U.S., Scotland and Australia. Her most recent commission can be found in the Forth Environment Link offices on the Falkirk High Street, a tryptic depicting our beautiful town.
