What is the FALKIRK ARTS FESTIVAL?

The Falkirk Arts Festival is a celebration of the visual and performance arts which takes place in Falkirk Town Centre.

What does it mean to register as an Individual Artist?

As an individual artist you will be allocated one of the numbered venues within Falkirk’s High Street vicinity. All venues are within walking distance from each other and form an arts trail which encourages people to come and spend the day Falkirk town centre.

What can I exhibit within my venue?

You will be responsible for setting up, manning and dismantling your own exhibition and as an Individual Artist. You will also have complete autonomy as to what you exhibit within your venue.

If you are unable to manage your own venue for any reason don’t despair you can take part in our Open Art Exhibition.

What will my brochure entry look like?

Your brochure entry will comprise of a photograph provided by you as well as a write up. You may also provide a link to your own website and contact details.

Are there any commissions or fees over and above the entry fee?

No- The artist retains all revenue generated by the sale of their work.

Do I have to live in Falkirk to participate?

You do not have to live in Falkirk to participate. Our aim is to make this a diverse inclusive Arts Festival and welcome artists from far and wide to come to Falkirk and join in.

Who is supporting the Falkirk Arts Festival?

We are pleased to say that the Falkirk Arts Festival has the support and backing of Town Centre businesses and management such as Falkirk Delivers, The Howgate Shopping Centre, Revive, The Forth Environment Link, The Seagull Trust Art Gallery , Corbett’s Jewellers as well as the Trinity Church to name but a few.

What will be happening during the Falkirk Arts Festival to create a buzz?

Over and above all the art exhibitions and performances there will be:

There will be a crafters stall market on 21st September in the High Street.

5Km of bunting will be going up in the High Street For the Festival as well as High Street Banners.

There are Textile and knitters groups who will be transforming the High Street with and explosive YarnBombing event.

We are in negotiations with Falkirk Delivers and Visit Scotland to bring tour busses into the Town Centre.

There are local primary and high schools taking part in an art competition.
